4. Worm Gears: These gears consist of a worm (a screw-like gear) and a worm wheel (a gear with helical teeth). They provide high gear ratios and are often used in applications requiring high torque.

6. Planetary Gears: Also known as epicyclic gears, these consist of a central gear (sun gear), surrounded by multiple gears (planet gears), all meshing with an outer ring gear (annulus). They provide high gear ratios and compact designs.

7. Hypoid Gears: These gears are similar to bevel gears but have non-intersecting axes. They are commonly used in automotive and industrial applications, such as rear-wheel drive systems.

These are just a few examples of the many different types of gears that exist, each with its own unique design and application.

Gears are widely used in many fields, such as automotive, industrial machinery, and aerospace. Gear transmission is characterized by high efficiency, reliability and precision, which enables accurate power transmission and speed regulation.
